For a long time, everyone knew that Black hair in games looked bad, we just didn’t know what to do about it. In 2020, Open Source Afro Hair Library started from a simple idea: if Black artists had the resources, support, and space to work together, we could create depictions of Blackness that felt loving and authentic.
Through initiatives like Code My Crown, and our award-winning work in computer graphics, OSAHL has supported artists from around the world and set a positive standard for Black hair representation in digital media. Your tax-deductible donation helps us shape the future of 3D–give today!
