The Model

The Hairstylist is inspired by none other than Susy Oludele, the artist behind Solange’s iconic hair looks and Beyoncé’s “Lemonade Braids”. Her unique spin on classic protective styles results in editorial looks ranging from sculptural, distressed, intricate and colorful. Personally, I got to meet Susy before shooting a film for the OSAHL x Dove campaign Code My Crown. We’ve remained friends and I can say firsthand that she is one of the kindest and most generous people, the kind of person whose light makes everyone shine brighter.
